whys people choose to be on the same system

Being among whys people makes for good quality living with wonderful shared experiences.

Yesterday, a gorgeous 'little' story was told to me, when I was called to assist with sovling a technical puzzle of getting a television to do what it was meant to do.

What the telvision did do, was showing us freqeutnly the brand's reminder on an internally programmed factory-setting when there was not much to 'see', that ' life is good'.
What it didn't do was showing the actual content of the CD in the player.

The person who was able to solve the technical issue
( by pressing the exact same buttons two other people had done in the exact same sequence, on the remote controll, by the way!) was happy to be able to sort it out and... on top of that joy, shared this story that is packed with wisdom of whys people.

He mentioned that the tv-set of his mother in law, (age ninety-something) had come to the end of its life-span, going all mauve on the edges.
He suggested her to buy a new modern wide-screen set, also with a hard-disk recorder.
Something many loving and supportive sons and sons-in-law do.

As more people do... he also assisted in the purchasing process.
For there is so much around there... which set to choose?

But, he didn't stop thinking, doing and caring there for moemnt of purchase and first installation.

What he did was, he purchased the exact same set for himself.
Chances that he personally needed to have one at that pint of time are statistically likely to be fairly minimal.
So such a need was not leading the choice for this investement.

But, a whys person knows that there are longterm 'maintainance' merits to being on the exact same operating systems as your loved ones, to enable everyones comptentence to shine brightly in the community.
Huh?

Because.... making that decision and actively in investing to make that happen ....makes the 'remote controll' of the 'intelligence within the system' to work so much smoother, more 'effortless', costing less of that which is most valueable to human beings!

Foir.... you can imagine... if she stumbbles upon a technical issue with the set, she can call him.
And, over the phone, seeing what she is seeing, having what she is having, he can guide her on solving it herself.

Yes, it is easy to think:" Yeah, well that saves having to go there whenever that happens ( time, energy, fuel.....).. it is self-interest."

Who says that making life easy for yourself as well is forbidden in being whys?

What I see in the undercurrent of this story is the quality of the used paradigm.

The choice was likely to be founded on already having a fair idea on the present levels of competences and desires of all people involved.
And a solution was choosen where all people involved can experience themselves to be and feel competent, by using  their own competences, solve issues swiftly together when they arise , combining real competences, smoothly, lovingly and joyfully.

"Life is Good"
( life is competent)
could very well be the factory default take on life of..... Life!

Thanks LG, thanks Ian for making the effects that such core-choice produces visible.
